Eric Geffon

Eric Geffon graduated magna cum laude from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1995. He began his career at the Santa Clara County Public Defender’s Office, where he worked for six years. During that time, Mr. Geffon handled jury trials in all types of cases. Mr. Geffon’s experience includes handling Three Strikes cases, sex offenses, robbery, and many other cases with life sentence exposure.
While a Deputy Public Defender, Mr. Geffon also worked extensively in juvenile court and the office’s research department. In the research department, Mr. Geffon drafted and argued motions on every topic, including motions to suppress evidence, dismiss cases, and compel discovery.
Mr. Geffon left the Public Defender’s Office in 2001 to begin his own practice. Since that time, he has practiced exclusively criminal defense, handling matters ranging from driving under the influence to homicide.
Mr. Geffon is designated by the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization as a certified criminal law specialist. He was also given the highest possible rating, AV, by the Martindale- Hubbell Peer Review Rating System.
Mr. Geffon is dedicated to providing each of his clients with aggressive representation in their case. He understands how important it is to thoroughly investigate all avenues of defense, both legal and factual, and to exploit every issue that can be used to his client’s benefit.
In addition to his practice, Mr. Geffon has been on the adjunct faculty of Santa Clara University School of Law, where he has taught Criminal Procedure and Advanced Trial Techniques. Mr. Geffon is a member of the California State Bar, the Santa Clara County Bar Association, California Attorneys for Criminal Justice, and the California Public Defender’s Association.

Nicole Isger
Nicole Isger graduated from the University of California, Davis School of Law in 1998. She graduated in the top quarter of her class, and was a Martin Luther King Public Service Award nominee. Prior to law school, Nicole received a Bachelor of Arts from Florida State University, graduating with Honors, magna cum laude, and Phi Beta Kappa.
Immediately upon graduation from law school, Nicole joined the Contra Costa County Alternate Defender Office and later the Contra Costa Public Defender Office, handling hundreds of cases in the Richmond court.
In 2000, Nicole joined the Santa Clara County Public Defender Office, where she represented hundreds of clients in felony and misdemeanor cases. While a deputy public defender, Nicole was assigned to serious felonies, drug court, domestic violence court, and juvenile court, among other cases.
In 2004, Nicole joined the Law Office of Eric Geffon. Her cases include many serious felony cases, such as Three Strikes, sex offenses and juvenile matters of all types. Nicole also handles misdemeanor cases such as drug-related offenses, domestic violence and driving under the influence.
Nicole is known by her clients as a dedicated, tenacious, and compassionate advocate. She believes that good communication, honesty, thorough preparation, and skilled advocacy are the foundations for successfully defending her clients. She strives to achieve the best possible results for each client’s unique situation.
Nicole is a member of the California State Bar, the Santa Clara County Bar Association, California Attorneys for Criminal Justice, the California Public Defender’s Association, and National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. She is also a member of the Women Defenders Association, and has served as a board member of Women Defenders for several years.
